How I work with AI

Claude doesn't need persuading. It needs rules.

I design the structure and write the rules first, and the agents build to them. This site is built that way.

This site

5 days for 6 pages, 3 case studies, 34 components, 176 tests and an AI that answers as me.

How

  • 37hours in session
  • 229messages from me
  • 5,385actions by Claude
  • 362questions it asked me
  • 25helper agents
  • 62commits, every one with Claude

How it works

What goes in
Workshops with people, work with customers, options explored, discovery and validation. Figma and FigJam too, not even close to as much as before. The meeting transcripts and messages, summarized, are what feeds the agents, through MCPs.
A plan, not a prompt
The work becomes steps in order, with the terms and the strategy written down first.
A skill, not a brief
The design system is written for the agents. How it began: Rebuilding Dynamic Mockups, 05
Every step checked
Here that is every commit: the checks, then every test on a desktop and on a phone.

My own system

My own work runs through a personal agent system too: skills for the jobs I repeat, a memory of what I've decided and why, and rule files that hold my standards. A new session starts where the last one stopped, and never asks me the same thing twice.

What stays mine

The structure
The information architecture, the flows and the edge cases, worked out before anything is built.
The decisions
It asks, I choose, and nothing is decided without me.
Taste
What looks right and reads right, down to a letter's weight and a line break.
The final read
Every screen and every sentence, read by me before it ships.

About

Fifteen years of design, and a life around it.

My first paid job came while I was still studying graphic design in Belgrade: a website for a small business. Agencies came next, then product companies in healthcare, banking, learning, delivery and sales, on the web and on phones. Somewhere in there I worked out what I actually do: I design the structure, not just pretty interfaces. In April 2026 I pushed my first work code, with Claude Code: one heading, from “Credits” to “Remaining credits”. Baptism by fire. How lovely it is to be a designer in 2026.

Along the way: discovery workshops for product teams, talks at meetups, and the designers I mentor on my teams.

What I believe

  1. 01

Most of the work isn't the structure or the wireframes. It's finding the best question.

Once the question is right, the rest mostly follows. With the wrong one, every answer gets polished in the wrong direction.

  1. 02

The best design system is one that makes engineers faster, not one that slows designers down.

A system earns its keep in what ships: engineers build faster with it, and the product stays consistent. If designers spend their weeks maintaining it, it has become the job.

  2. 03

Before you leave the house, take one thing off. Coco Chanel said it about bracelets; I say it about interfaces.

When a page comes back too dense, the fix is rarely another idea. It's taking a few things off.

  3. 04

In an interview, I care more about where it hurt than where it went smoothly.

I mean interviews with customers. The smooth parts tell you little; where it hurt is where the product can help.

  4. 05

Start with just the content, blank, no design, and it's better. Guaranteed.

When the layout comes first, the words get squeezed to fit it. When the words come first, the layout knows what it's for.

  5. 06

Someone copied us? As long as we're a step ahead, I don't see a problem.

A copy gets you where we were. The work is where we go next.

Off the clock

  1. Road trips

Belgrade to the Greek coast and back, on two wheels.

Through Bulgaria to Alexandroupoli and home again, on an adventure bike. When I'm not riding, I'm watching MotoGP and F1.
  2. Music

    Some nights, I'm on stage.

Vocals, guitar and keys: solo, with an acoustic band in clubs and bars, or just for friends at home.
  3. Chess

GothamChess's courses are taught with my chess pieces.

Gothic is my set of twelve. It's in Levy Rozman's Chessly (GothamChess is the most-subscribed chess channel on YouTube), and every player there can pick it.

The best is yet to come.

Open to full-time roles from November 2026. Belgrade or remote in Serbia first; teams in the EU and the US when the hours and the role fit.
